Now it won't even accept the youtube registration. This action seems abandoned. It's not getting updated for quite a while and there's no possibility to download the older version of this action that actually worked. It's a shame since the DropZone has been a very useful app.

I wish I at least had the possibility to download the older youtube upload action but there's none to be found

Hello,
The new YouTube Uploader action fails to upload videos to youtube, can I get the older one which had worked fine?
I have mid-2012 MBP with MacOS 10.12.6 installed. I tried to reinstall and re-register the new YouTube Uploader, with no avail.
Here's what the debug console says every time I'm trying to upload a video:

Hi John,

As I tried to use bit.ly action today I got the following error:

By the way, is this possible to transfer, say, pictures from mac to iphone this way?

Hi John,

Right now I'm on Mavericks but thinking of going back to Mountain Lion. I just wanted to ask which version is fully supported with 10.8.5 because I remember there were some issues with Ruby on 10.8.

Please let me know. And thank you again for the beautiful piece of software. Dropzone is a must-have app. Beats others hands down.

Hi John,

It just occurred to me that while Dropzone actually is showing a progress bar while one uploads video to youtube, it doesn't really show the uploading status. I mean, the progress bar is there but you really can't tell by looking at it how much you have already uploaded and how much is left to upload. All you can see is that the upload is taking place at the moment and that's it.

Do you think it is possible to implement such feature?

Works fine, thanks!

Hi John,

The last version of Dropbox obtained a new feature. I'm talking about the new improved dragging system for opening the Dropzone grid. Whenever I drag an item around, a Dropzone pop-up would show up. While some users may find it useful, it's a bit intrusive for me. There are quite a few shortcuts on the upper side of my Finder toolbar which are being overlapped with this pop-up. Is there a way to disable this kind of behavior and have it the way it was with 3.5.4? Or maybe it is possible to just include such an option in preferences in a future version?

Thank you John, now everything works just perfect!

Here's what I get.

I went back to Dropzone 3.5.4 though. Same story.

Oh well. Just for kicks I updated to Mavericks and Dropzone 3.5.5.
And still no luck. The same story.
ruby -v returns
ruby 2.0.0p481 (2014-05-08 revision 45883) [universal.x86_64-darwin13]
Neither Shorten URL works.

Hi John,

I found a way to upgrade ruby to version 2 via Homebrew on Mountain Lion. Do you think it's worth it?

So I figure I need an older version of Dropzone with 10.8 support. Is it possible to obtain? And will I have to pay for it again?
I'm just not happy with Mavericks. It would be ridiculous to update the whole system because of the app.

Thanks John,

Executing ruby -v in terminal returned
ruby 1.8.7 (2012-02-08 patchlevel 358) [universal-darwin12.0]

Is that ok? I'm using OS X 10.8.5

Meanwhile I will try non-MAS version. This app is really great.

upd: Installed a non-MAS version (which asked for a serial for some reason) having removed the previous version beforehand. However as I tried to drop url onto Bitly icon I received the same error

I am really stumbled upon this as to what to do.

Hello,
I filled out username and password fields as recommended. Meaning that I filled it out from https://bitly.com/a/your_api_key
However it just wouldn't work. Every time I drop an url onto Bitly icon I get such an error
